In collaboration with The Salt Cancer Initiative (SCI) to organize the Free Yoga Project for cancer patients since 2017, for the past 5 years, Elite Fitness has become the venue sponsor for the activity, weekly in 3 big cities Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City.
"Free Yoga Class for Cancer Patients" is one of the key projects of SCI - Salt Cancer Initiative is held to bring the community together, help improve health, and spread the spirit of positivity.
Every Sunday morning, the class is organized – at 6 locations in 3 big cities: Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City out of a total of 9 locations that SCI is implementing. These are at Elite clubs Pham Ngoc Thach, Elite Long Bien, Elite Thang Long (Hanoi), Elite Dong Khoi, Elite Thao Dien (HCMC), and Elite Da Nang. Exercises are designed specifically for each patient group to ensure the physical and mental health of the trainees.
Sharing about this activity, Ms. Vu Kieu Anh (Long Bien District - Hanoi) expressed, "In the past, when I was sick, I went through an inferior complex and was afraid to interact with people. But when I met everyone here, seeing them going through treatment and gradually recovering, I felt empathetic. The teachers help and guide the exercises to circulate blood, and the part of my body that hurts is getting better through practicing."
As a longtime trainer of this activity, Ms. Tuyet Huong shared: “I am touched every time taking the class with them. Because, maybe, in the future, I couldn’t meet some of them again.”
Through this project, Elite Fitness wishes that each location is not only a mere gym but also a "common home" for cancer "warriors" to exercise together and live positively and steadily to overcome all challenges.
The activity is also within the orientation and mission of spreading the inspiration to practice and live healthy both physically and mentally for the community that ty le keo and Elite Fitness have pursued throughout the years.
